California State University, Sacramento (also known as Sacramento State, SAC State or CSUS) is a public university located in Sacramento, California. It was established in 1947 as Sacramento State College, and it became a part of the California State University system in 1960. We are California’s capital university, providing world-class, affordable education in the political, cultural, and economic heart of the Golden State.
